About the Service
localizr.net is a web application designed for software translators who want to contribute to the international community of software users by providing user interface localizations.
This collaborative and social platform is meant to ease the process of managing, translating and distributing localized versions of desktop software among users.
By utilizing the concepts of virtual communities, localizr.net is meant to build and support a community of translators and provide the tools to ease the cooperation and communication processes.
The basic concept behind the system is to create a multilingual software localization repository in which the service members (translators) take care of keeping the localizations up to date with most recent software versions.
Their actions can be actively supported by software developers who can also become part of the community and supply most recent language files for the software, as well as by the service end-users who can report localization bugs and submit new software titles.
